Original Toronto Star caption: Lions start clawing in $2 million drive. Paws on desk; 150-pound lion cub Casper supervises presentation of symbolic $100;000 cheque from Lakeshore Lions Club to open drive for $2 million expansion fund for Queensway General Hospital. Accepting cheque from bemedalled Lions; William Brayman (right); vice-president of the Lakeshore Lions Club; and Bob Harris; past president; were George Ursaki (left); chairman of hospital board and N. Murray Brown; chairman of the hospital fund-raising campaign. Casper was borrowed for the occasion from the Bowmanville zoo.
