Original Toronto Star caption: Business change in Oakville threatens historic landmark. A historic landmark of Oakville; owned by the Whitaker family for two-thirds ofa cntury and once in the centre of the town's business district; the old house (1) on Dundas St.; just north of Colborne st.; will be torn down after May 1 to make way for an addition to a gasoline service station; according to present plans. The building was erected 80 years ago during a boom in the town and is in a fine state of preservation
