Original Toronto Star caption: Brutal Gunmen Ransack vaults and flee with $3;000. Opening fire as they walked into the Bank of Commerce (LEFT) at Port Credit today; thee gunmen wearing caps and overalls ordered the bank staff to lie on the floor; ransacked vaults and escaped with about $3;000. R. A. Bryant; accountant; received a gunshot wound in his right arm and crumpled to the floor. The roobers forced a truck driver at the point of a gun to enter the bank with them.

Let's go out and get it, Christener said as he kicked off campaign early yesterday for the media. Official appeal kick-off starts tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Nathan Phillips Square and you're invited.
