Original Toronto Star caption: Richmond Hill awash in waves of fun. Opening day at the new Lois Hancey Aquatic Centre; 5 Hopkins Rd.; southwest of Yonge St. and Major Mackenzie Dr.; drew raves and waves of people. The first 100 lined up last Tuesday for first crack at its L-shaped wave pool with three 25-metre lanes (a first in the Greater Toronto Area) and its 49-metre (160-foot) water slide; sauna and swirlpool.
