Original Toronto Star caption: Children jailed on Hallowe'en. Six children; aged 9 to 14; were kept in Richmond Hill lock-up for over an hour Hallowe'en night by Constable Roscoe Casement; and were released by a large crowd of youths; aided by the parents of at least one of the imprisoned boys. The cell assigned to the boys is shown in (1). It is usually occupied by transients; who moved to the adjoining cell and tried to keep the children from crying.
