Original Toronto Star caption: Straining, fireman Pat Cleveland, helped by a passerby (left), hauls Norman MacCubbin 200 feet up the Scarborough Bluffs after he had gone down to the lakeshore to stay with his son Neil, who had been trapped there yesterday by high waves. Neil and another boy were dumped into the lake when their inflated boat overturned. The other boy made it up the bluffs but Neil was too cold and tired to try.
