Original Toronto Star caption: An 1848 house built by a son of the first settlers in Scarborough has been lovingly restored by Muriel Taylor and her husband, Alan. Sunday, the Scarborough Historical Society will declare it a historic site and set up a marker. The Taylors bought the house six years ago after the death of Dr. Isabelle Davidson, a great-grand daughter of William and Mary Thomson, Scarborough's first residents. They built a log cabin nearby in 1796. Historic home located on southeast corner of St. Andrews Road and Brimley Road.
