The intricacies of the sword dance are performed by 17-year-old Pamela Chambers of West Hill yesterday in the McGregor Park Library in Scarborough, to the accompaniment of piper Michael Moir, also of west Hill, who's in the 48th Highlanders. it was part of a program put on by the young dancers of the Margo Coutts Dancing Group, which also included Irish folk dances and a sailor's hornpipe. The show had been planned for outdoors - but the rain drove it inside.
