Original Toronto Star caption: New subdivisions have single and semi-detached houses. First ones were prefabricated aluminum houses; conventionally built ones are also being constructed. Long-time residents of the village, some of whom live in very old houses, thought the pre-fabs would blow over in a big wind. The average market value of new houses is $20,000; down payments are low.
