Original Toronto Star caption: Years before a church was built, pioneer families of Sunnidale township formed a congregation, holding services in log schools and homes. Then on a corner of land donated by William Copson on the 12th line of Sunnidale, this virile congregation built a church. With this background Bethesda United church, the first of any denomination in Sunnidale, celebrates its 70th anniversary this week.
