Original Toronto Star caption: War rations keep its doors open. Trafalgar, June 23-The school is going to stay open next term in section 14 of Trafalgar even if it only has the seven pupils it now has, Emerson E. Featherstone, chairman of the board, declared today. And the pupils can thank gasoline and tire rationing. With a shortage of teachers and a shortage of pupils too, the district inspector suggested that the school be closed and the pupils be driven over to the school in section 16 every day. So the board obligingly advertised for tenders for the job of doing the transporting. [Incomplete]
