Original Toronto Star caption: Miles of nets must be kept in A-1 condition to keep catching fish which keeps the factory in operation. Working around the clock, the Omstead fisheries has processed 50 tons of fish every 24 hours since March 1. The secret idea, which has brought interested calls from all over the country, will revolutionize the industry.

Clare and Bob Duck run Bob's Truck Stop in Campbellville for men who drove cross-country trucks, not for tourists. It's good, plain, solid food cooked to keep a trucker satisfied for the next 300 miles. Mrs. Duck says. Tourists tend to eat lighter foods like salads. Duck is a mechanic and worked in the Arctic for 13 years, taking supplies in by cat train. They opened the restaurant in January.

New home for Hedgehog: Kim Dormaar, assistant director of new Metro zoo, holds a hedgehog from Asia, one of 5,000 animals, birds, reptiles and fish which will live in the 700-acre zoo. In order to raise funds for the new zoo, Metro's six mayors and thousands of zoo supporters are today walking 15 miles in hopes of raising $500,000 towards $6 million zoo fund objective. The zoo, being built in northeastern corner of Scarborough, will open next summer.
