Original Toronto Star caption: 2:55 P.M.; First recognize that life is short then live each day as all men ought; reads the inscription on the marble sun dial at the entrance to Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Buried in the cemetery on this ice-cold afternoon was Joseph C. Jefferies; 74; husband of the late Winnifred Jefferies; dear father of Charles Jefferies and his wife Bonnie of Claremont and loving grandfather of Bradley. Noel and Kelly. There are more than 15;000 deaths in Metro every year an average of 41 a day.
