Original Toronto Star caption: These workmen are having lunch in what will be the highest bar in Toronto when the 32-storey; $10 million Sutton Place apartment hotel is completed in June. The barman will serve from a sunken pit so patrons can savor both their drinks and the view. Chiefly a hotel; the 340-foot tower at Bay and Wellesley commands sweeping views in all directions. Picture at left below shows Bay St. carrying traffic south to the downtown area with Toronto Island in the background. Picture at right below shows apartments to the east with the eastern suburbs extending like a mat to meet the horizon.
