Original Toronto Star caption: Kensington towers; one of Toronto's poshest apartment buildings; will become co-operatively owned when shares of Kensington Apartments Ltd. are sold. Asking prices for shares would result in an initial cost of $19;500 to occupy a bachelor apartment; $113;500 for right to a combined apartment suite. The building prompted opposition from ratepayers when it was built in the late 1950s. Condominium apartment ownership was legalized in Ontario about three years ago.
