Original Toronto Star caption: Close encounters: Lunch-hour strollers in downtown Toronto yesterday could be forgiven for thinking the city was being visited by extra-terrestrials. A high fog bank around the CN Tower; along with the sun trying to break through; created this ghostly effect of the tower's shadow being cast on the mist hundreds of feet above the city's streets. Star photographer Boris Spremo caught the phenomenon about 1 p.m. from King St. W. near Simcoe St.
