Original Toronto Star caption: Ceremony to open woodbine bridge. Special ceremonies will mark the opening of Woodbine bridge Monday evening when Premier Henry will cut a white ribbon across the south end of the structure and declare it officially open for traffic. The East York Community band will supply music for community dancing following a brief program of speech-making. Addresses will be made by Warden Legge of York county, Robert MacGregor, M.P., Reeve Frank Barchard of Scarboro, and Reeve Elliott of North York, Reeve R. M. Leslie and members of East York council are hosts. The bridge was completed last November at a cost of $185,000 and connects St. Clair Ave. and Eglinton Ave.
