Original Toronto Star caption: The Sir John Eaton Memorial Athl etic field. A modern athletic field for the use of the employes of the T. Eaton Co., established as a memorial to the late Sir John Eaton, was formally opend last night by Mr. R. Y. Eaton. The new field is situated on Christie street, immediately opposite the Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment hospital, and is provided with every convenience. The playing facilities include tennis courts, running track, baseball diamond and a quoits pitch. There is ample room also for many other kinds of athletic activity. The grounds have been so arranged that rinks can be made in the winter for hockey and rink skating.
