Original Toronto Star caption: After 100 years St. James Spruces up. Anglican Cathedral at King and Church Sts. is finally get- ning. It was built in 1853 and the spire was added in 1874; church; at 324 feet high; the tallest one in Canada. The workmen; shown at the base of the steeple; have been busy lately cleaning the sandstone and brick for the first time and replacing more than 2;000 crumbling bricks with specially made new ones. [Incomplete]
