Original Toronto Star caption: Traditional in style, old People's Church was Bloor St. landmark. It cost $750,000, sold for $650,000.

The building was Central Methodist (United) Church, 1905-ca 1927.  It became Bloor Street Baptist Church ca 1928; Metropolitan Church ca 1929-1930; Calvary Tabernacle ca 1931-1933; and Peoples Church ca 1933-1962.
