Original Toronto Star caption: New Church of the Blessed Sacrament; now nearing completion in North Toronto; at Yonge St. and Cheritan Ave. Of modernistic Gothic design; new building is said to be of finest examples of modern church construction in the city Blessed Sacrament was established as a parish in 1926 and the church building on Yonge Street at the northwest corner of Cheritan Avenue was officially opened on 1 June 1930.
