The receivers who manage the high-rise on Bloor St. won't accept his $155-a-month rent while they try to evict him and the other tenants; meanwhile; they're paying King $100 a week for his work as a maintenance man. Policemen protect security guards. It's crazy all right; King says with a shrug.
