Original Toronto Star caption: Late entry cleans up in bathtub race. The annual Mayors' Bathtub Derby was held at the Canadian National Exhibition yesterday; and a late entry - Scarborough Controller Joyce Trimmer (centre) - won; sweeping past Mayors Jim Lang of Bracebridge (left) and Stan Makowski of Buffalo. Metro Chairman Paul Godfrey found he couldn't be there and delegated Mrs. Trimmer as a salute to International Women's Year. She finished ahead of nine opponents in bathtubs fastened to motorboats.
