Original Toronto Star caption: All quiet on the waterfront. Movement of goods to and from overseas across Toronto's docks in down 33 per cent this year. As of last Monday; 304;467 tons of overseas imports and exports had been handled. The figure for the same period of last season was 457;232 tons. Harbor officials blame a late spring break-up and a lack of large shipments of European steel. Imports dropped by a stagering 43 per cent; while exports increased by 29 per cent-boosted by Canadian steel exports to Europe.
