Original Toronto Star caption: Where druggist was held up by Armed Men. The Star photographer shows 568 Jarvis street, the drug store of Mr. J. P. Taylor the scene of a daring holdup Monday night, when two men robbed the cash register of $25, at the point of the gun. They subsequently made their escape in an automobile driven by a third man. Detective Walter McConnell and William Nursey have been assigned to the case. Descriptions of the men were furnished all the divisions. In police circles it is thought that the men were members of a gang who are following the fairs and race meets.
