Original Toronto Star caption: Winter coating of ice is ripped from Toronto streets. Claws which gouge the ice and a scraper which tosses fragments to one side are the features of this tractor ice remover. Where men with picks labor long hours; this machine rips and clears away ice from the streets. In a demonstration on Bay St. it cleared five-inch ice with ease; leaving the roadway in summer condition; Leevers control the claws depending on the thickness of ice.
