Original Toronto Star caption: Hospitals in Toronto, Riverdale The Swiss Cottage Hospital, part of the Riverdale Isolation Hospital, was used for smallpox patients. It opened in November 1901, and was designed by Toronto architect George Robinson Harper (1843-1910). It was built near the Winchester Street Bridge in the Don Valley just east of the Don River.||An identical image is at the City of Toronto Archives, Fonds 1244, William James family fonds, Item 331.||
