Original Toronto Star caption: Union Station is empty this morning as rail service in Ontario comes to a halt; stopped by a strike of more than 20;000 non-operating employees seeking an improvement in the contract offered them. All passenger service is halted; including GO Transit; which carries 20;000 commuters to and from work each day. Buses are carrying passengers from the outlying GO stops; those closer in were advised to use the facilities of the Toronto Transit Commission.
