Strathcona School, St

Original Toronto Star caption: Strathcona School, St. John's Road, northeast corner of Runnymede Road, Toronto, Ont. Strathcona School was opened in 1909 by the West Toronto Public School Board and, after annexation later that year, was taken over by the Toronto Board of Education. The school closed in 1943 and officially reopened as Runnymede Chronic Care Hospital in 1945. The original building was demolished in 2011 and a new hospital was built on the site.
