Original Toronto Star caption: Spadina Ave.-now and 64 years ago. Toronto has expanded south as well as north; east and west in the past six decades. The view (bottom) of the south end of Spadina Ave. in 1910 shows the old Spadina wharf with new landfill all around it. The elevated Gardiner Expressway now runs (above) over what used to be part of Lake Ontario. Area is expexted to change still more in the next few years as joint CN-CP Metro Centre project gets underway.
