Original Toronto Star caption: The changing scene: The Royal York Hotel dominated the view on Front St.; looking west from the vicinity of Yonge St.; in 1928 (above); but today (right) it's hidden behind the Royal Bank building; while the CN Tower soars skyward behind Union Station. The station; which had been open less than a decade in 1928; was the dominant building on the south side of the street; but today the view of it is partially blocked by the post office building between Yonge and Bay Sts.
