Original Toronto Star caption: $3;000 Mace presented to york U.. Mayor Phili Givens presents a 28-pound ceremonial mace to York University President Murray G. Ross on behalf of Toronto City Council today. The bronze mace was designed by Gerald Trottier of Quebec and cost $3;000. The shoulder section is ornamented with stones from each of the 10 provinces of Canada.
