Original Toronto Star caption: Metro zoo gets a pair of tapirs. Two Malaysian tapirs arrived at the Metro Zoo yesterday on an Air Canada flight from Copenhagen; and the female of the species was friendlier than the male. Herb Southam; overseer of the Canadian Domain at the zoo; uncrated them and helped them stretch; then the male; apparently suffering from jet lag; went into a corner and took a nap while female had a swim and played with the photographers.
