Original Toronto Star caption: More stripes for new zoo. Five-week-old tiger cubs born at the new Metro zoo were let out of their cage for the first time yesterday and the mother; Pjasina; lay down with three of the four in a holding pen. She is one of the first Siberian tigers ever to give birth in Canada; and her cubs will be on display when the zoo opens on Aug. 15. Pjasina was bought from a German zoo; her keeper explains that she has to get used to a new language as well as to a different environment and climate.
