Original Toronto Star caption: The high level water tower on Gerrard St. E. is to be dismantled; Works Commissioner R. C. Harris announces. It has not been used since the new pumping plant at Victoria park was brought into operation two years ago. Erected in 1900; it was 200 feet high and could be seen across Lake Ontario on clear days.
