Original Toronto Star caption: The temple bells are a big attraction for children but the temple itself is rather a shock for visitors. Called Dakshinkali it's devoted to the goddess Kali and young animals are brought to it for sacrifice; after which the family which owned the animal has a pleasant picnic. The Star's associatae travel editor; George Bryant; on a world tour; found the setting superb but the ceremony sickening.
