Original Toronto Star caption: Take that, ball: Doug Ault, a 27-year-old Texan whose baseball career brought him to Toronto by way of Anchorage, Alaska, became Blue Jays' first instant hero Thursday by hitting home runs in his first two times at bat. Ault admitted that Fan Power, generated by 44,649 frosted fans at Exhibition Stadiun, really got to him.
