Original Toronto Star caption: Harold Ballard, the president and general manager of Maple Leaf Gardens, sentenced to three years for theft and fraud, sees his first live hockey game in almost a year from his private box in the Gardens last night, watching the Leafs down Buffalo 7-4. With him are Gardens vice-president King Clency (left) and assistant general manager Johnny McLellan. Ballard, after a year in prison, was transferred to a halfway house in Toronto and will be paroled Oct. 19.
