Original Toronto Star caption: Bauer roars to victory; Canada's premier cyclist Steve Bauer (right) celebrates his victory in yesterday's Carlsberg Light Grand Prix around Queen's Park circle, Bauer came from back in the pack to roar past an international field of cyclists and win the 80-kilometre event by a wheel, averaging 48 kilometres an hour. Bauer completed the course in 1 hour, 40 minutes and collected $3,000. Over 40,000 fans watched the action. Leonard Nitz finished second and Giuseppe Saronni war third.
