Original Toronto Star caption: Rosedale lady: A soft sculpture by Toronto artist Jane Buckles glares disdainfully at visitors as they enter the apartment of Jim Wies and Ross McGill. A good investment as well as a decorative conversation piece, the sculpture cost $250 six years ago, now is worth close to $1,000. That's why you should buy a piece you really like when you see it, Wies says, even if it means scraping the money together. You may never see it again or, if you do, the price may have gone up.
