Original Toronto Star caption: What would the president of the Toronto Stock Exchange pick as his best investment? Not surprisingly, it's a stock. In this case, says exchange president Bunting, it was a mining company called Iso, whose shares in the '60s appreciated by about 200 per cent. Or maybe it was 300 per cent. Ah, but even Bunting has to admit one can lose in the market. Like the $20,000 he lost in a firm called Rapid Data in the 1970s. But those days are behind him at least for a while. Bunting emphasizes that he put a stop to his stock orders when he took up top spot at the TSE.
