Original Toronto Star caption: William Burrill. Here for the first time are 13 new, never before reprinted Ernest Hemingway stories, written for The Toronto Star during 1920-23. All stories on the list are missing from Dateline Toronto, the supposedly comprehensive collection by Hemingway's publisher, Charles Scribner's Sons of New York, that purports to be The Complete Toronto Star Dispatches, 1920-24. These new stories were found by reporter William Burrill after digging through Hemingway papers in the JFK Library in Boston, Mass.; The Toronto Star archives, collections in Princeton University and Paris, France. All unbylined stories were found in Hemingway's personal clippings scrapbook. Also listed here are unpublished Star stories and conjectural pieces.
