Original Toronto Star caption: Police chief Harold Adamson (right) talks with Constable Harry Burridge who was shot Saturday night as he and his partner drove home from work, in uniform but unarmed. He was the fifth Metro officer shot in less than a year. His partner, who was driving, got the license number of the car from which the shotgun blast had come, then took Burridge back to the station to get an ambulance to hospital.
