Carrying a 40-pound balancing rod, Jay Cochrane (left) walks 287 feet along an almost invisible wire strung 490 feet up yesterday between two tall buildings near Yonge and Bloor Sts. He planned to repeat the 10-minute walk at 1 p.m. today and 2 p.m. tomorrow. Cochrane walked 12,300 feet on high wire at Exhibition Aug. 27.
