Original Toronto Star caption: 10,000 fans of Stompin Tom Connors packed the Forum at Ontario Place last night for one of the singer's ritualistic hootin' and hollerin' concerts, and critic Peter Goddard says the familiarity of the occasion was comforting. It was a faithful audience that had heard most of the jokes before and felt every sentiment of Connors' songs. The singer will have his own show on CBC-TV network Sept.19.
