Original Toronto Star caption: Dandy sandy shot: John Cook, who won the Canadian Open golf championship at the Glen Abbey course in Oakville, blasts out of a sand trap play yesterday. Cook shot a final-round 68 for a total of seven-under-par 277, which left him in tie with Jognny Miller, who shot a final-round 67. Cook won on the sixth playoff hole. He took title with a birdie on that hole.
