Original Toronto Star caption: Checking zoo map yesterday before heading in are Mayor David Crombie, his sons, Jonathan, 10, and Robin, 11, and friends, Glenda Reid, 11, and David Ross, 8. Crombie's son want him to take over the zoo. I think he should step in right now and take over the zoo with the council and make sure it is open for his winter, Robin said. I agree,' said Jonathan. That way . . . we can visit the animals anytime we want. But Crombie was out to see animals, not talk politics.
