Original Toronto Star caption: Distinguished visitor. The landmark musical Oklahoma! returned to the stage of the Royal Alexandra Theatre Tuesday night for a five-week run. In the audience watching over the production was Agnes de Mille (left), the originator of the dances in the show. During intermission the choreographer said hello to the theatre's owner, Ed Mirvish, and his wife, Anne. the revival of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical was a smash hit when it played on Broadway last year and de Mille's choreography still seems as vital and alive as when the show burst on the scene during the dark days of World War II, Star staff writer Bob Crew said in yesterday's review of the opening.
