Original Toronto Star caption: Since my term as mayor, says MPP Philip Givens (centre), who was chief magistrate 1963-66, the confidence between the province and the city has totally disintegrated. Agreeing with him outside the old city hall are Alderman Allan Lamport (left), mayor 1952-54, and William Dennison, the present mayor. Lamport accuses Queen's Park of going far beyond reason trying to deteriorate city's authority.
