Original Toronto Star caption: Politicians and polkas re-open market. Mayor William Dennison and his wife join in grand march to start off an evening of polkas, square dances and round dances Saturday night to celebrate opening of the rebuilt St. Lawrence Market North Building, site where Farmer's Market has operated since 1904. At right, Controller June Marks waves straw hat that was standard headgear for city council members who arrived aboard a hay wagon.
